Frequently Asked Questions

Q: IS IT REALLY THAT IMPORTANT WHETHER OR NOT THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS WERE BLACK OR WHITE:

A: At Hotep Creations we believe it is important and does make a difference. First and foremost, for the younger generation it gives them a sense of pride to know that their ancestors, people who looked just like them, are responsible for bringing knowledge and civilization to the ancient world. It also would help to change the world view of black people.

In today's society the current view that a lot of people have of Africa is a backwards place where the people did not evolve and have made no significant contributions to world history. This could not be farther from the truth. There were many cultures in Africa that possessed a high degree of civilization and where other cultures came to study and learn: The Dogon Empire, The Mali Empire, Ethiopia, The Songhai Empire, The Zulu Nation, Timbuktu, and Carthage to name a few. Egypt is usually chosen as a starting point because of the gigantic monuments and statues that still exist which clearly show black people as the kings, queens and majority population of Ancient Egypt. Egypt is also recognized as the foundation of a lot of the arts and sciences practiced today.Astronomy, philosophy, mathematics, medicine, architecture, the worship of Gods, can all be traced back to ancient Egypt.
